26 June 2010, Saturday Turkish Cultural Centre and People's Association have organized the "Turkish Breakfast" workshop on 26 June 2010, Saturday. This is a part of Global Breakfast Series organized by People's Association. More than 20 participants from different Community Centres participated the workshop. They have learned how to prepare 'Homemade Jam', 'Lentil Soup' and 'Turkish Tea'. Selected breakfast items such as halva, menemen, eggs, borek (Turkish pastry) etc. were prepared and served to the participants after the workshop.

15 October 2009, Thursday - Turkish Cultural Centre 
Students and teachers from Hwa Chong Institution have enjoyed themselves during their field trip at the Turkish Cultural Centre. They have learned new Turkish dishes and desserts such as "Menemen" and "Cezerye". The Cooking session was not only about the food as students were very interested in asking many questions about Turkey and Turkish culture. TCC believes in and actively promotes building bridges between the two friendly countries; Singapore and Turkey, in terms of culture, food, education etc. |

7 January 2009, Wednesday We have celebrated Ashura (Noah's Pudding) Day together with our Singaporean and Turkish friends in our new centre. Participants were introduced to Ashura Day, its significance and customs. An Ashura Day would not be complete without Ashura (Noah's Pudding) itself. It was a great pleasure for us to share exclusively prepared Ashura with our friends.

3 October 2008, Friday Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Singapore, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Cultural Centre and Editions Didier Millet organized a wonderful event titled "Tonight in Istanbul". Guest-of-Honour for the night was Mr. Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Senior Minister of the State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mayor of North-East District. The night began with serving of delicious samples of Turkish Cuisine. The exibition of Istanbul photos under the sponsorship of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality took the guests to Istanbul for a while.
