One of the Turkish Cultural Centre’s missions is to teach Turkish Language in Singapore. Three students from Methodist Girls’ School and Saint Joseph Institution who were trained by our teacher participated in the 5th International Turkish Language Olympiads in 2007.

Nishanti Wijedasa, Priyanshu Gautam and Eric Fernando participated in poetry, singing and grammar sections respectively. Eric returned with a bronze medal while Nishanti receiving an honorary mention. Priyanshu sang peace songs in World Peace Chorus with participants from more than a hundred countries.
