|
According to the tradition, Ashura or Noah's Pudding is a meal prepared by Prophet Noah for the people in his ark. Since then sharing Noah's Pudding is a symbolic representation of the unity and essential relationship of humans to one another in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern culture. People prepare the pudding at home and send a bowl to each of their neighbours. The tradition still continues today in Turkey, some of the Mediterranean and Middile Eastern countries. TCC organized a graceful night with Singaporean and Turkish friends on 24 December 2011 to share a bowl of Ashura. The guests enjoyed the delicious home-made food as well as the social interaction in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
